John is a dedicated Executive with 25+ years of Community Development and Economic Development experience, and has a high degree of technical and administrative expertise, with a focus on land development, strategic planning, customer service, technology, innovation and organizational culture. He is an experienced executive with proven ability to work collaboratively to successfully create and implement new priority programming and service lines to support the vision and goals of any organization for the benefit of the community.  For more than ten years, he has owned and operated a land use consulting firm, successfully completing over 100 projects throughout Southern California. John is recently retired from a 20+ year career in municipal government and most recently served as Director of Community Development in the City of Norwalk.  John believes volunteerism and service to the community are important and has volunteered for multiple organizations over the years. He currently serves on the City of Garden Grove’s Planning Commission.  He and his wife, Elise have been married for over 27 years and they have three sons. John is excited to join Vocational Visions and contribute to the organization’s success.
