Professional: I am currently employed for In-N-Out Burgers, and am currently a Division Manager, overseeing 7 locations. I have been with In-N-Out for nearly 39 years. During that time, I have held multiple roles, including corporate trainer, classroom instructor, Store Manager, and now Division Manager, a role I have held for the last 10 years. I have extensive experience in Management and Leadership Development; Team-Building; Training and Development; and Sales Building and Customer Service.
Personal: I am recently married (my husband also works at In-N-Out, 40 years for him!). I have a step-daughter who is about to be 21. I was raised in Lancaster, California, and come from a family of six, with my youngest brother being 52 years old, and with Down’s Syndrome. I am no stranger to the world of developmentally disabled, I was four when my brother was born. I currently live in Huntington Beach, love to travel, and love all things Disney.
Volunteer Experience: From the age of 8 to 12, I spent my summers volunteering at Desert Haven Industries in Lancaster, working in the pre-school that my brother attended. I was surrounded by children with various forms of developmental delay, including Down’s Syndrome and autism, and many different forms of physical challenges. As my brother got older, and became active in Special Olympics, I volunteered at various events for that as well.
In-N-Out Burger has two non-profit organizations: The In-N-Out Burger Foundation for Abused and Neglected Children, and Slave-2-Nothing, which is centered around Human Trafficking and addiction. I have been a volunteer for 35 of my 39 years, at many different events, with many different roles, including event planning and set up, to execution. For the last 10 years, I have been the volunteer coordinator for a golf tournament for our children’s foundation. It is a one-day tournament, with 400 volunteers, and this past May, we raised $2.8 million dollars.
Education: BSBM from University of Phoenix; MBA from University of Phoenix; Human Resources Management Certification from UC Irvine; Certification in Executive Leadership and Management from Notre Dame School of Business
The Why: I am looking for a place to contribute and make a difference, in an environment that is fulfilling in multiple facets. I believe that I have a skill set that can enhance an organization and bring a fresh perspective, combined with the experience of being around people that are mentally and physically challenged.
Thank you for your time!
