Vocational Visions Honored with Proclamations Recognizing Its Contributions to the City of Mission Viejo

MISSION VIEJO – October 27, 2026 – Vocational Visions was honored by the city of Mission Viejo with a special proclamation recognizing the organization’s many years of service and contributions to the residents of the community.

Mayor Wendy Bucknum presented the proclamation on behalf of the City of Mission Viejo.  Vocational Visions also received four additional proclamations recognizing its work and lasting community impact from State Senator Catherine Blakespear, State Assembly Member Kate Sanchez, Orange County Board of Supervisor Don Wagner, and Congresswoman Young Kim.

This recognition is especially meaningful because it celebrates not only the organization’s longstanding commitment to serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, but also the individuals who are an important part of our community.  It acknowledges their abilities, contributions, and the value they bring to the places where they live, work, and connect with others.

The proclamations also recognize the dedication and hard work of Vocational Visions’ staff, who compassion and commitment make it possible for individuals to develop their talents, pursue employment, build relationships, and participate more fully in the community.

Vocational Vision extends its sincere appreciation to Mayor Wendy Bucknum, the City of Mission Viejo, and all the elected representatives for this meaningful recognition.
