Emeritus

The Emeritus Program supports adults whose goals focus on skill retention, personal well‑being, community engagement, and meaningful daily activities rather than employment. Participants enjoy a balanced day full of social opportunities, leisure activities, and community experiences designed around their interests and choices.

Skill Building, Wellness & Daily Learning

Participants build and maintain life skills through classes, safety practice, problem solving, and daily activities such as purchasing items, ordering food, and using public transportation.

They also take part in interest-based clubs such as Sign Language, Cooking Club, and FunBrain. Some participants take Saddleback College classes to pursue personal interests or continued learning.

Staffing ratios vary from 1 to 4 depending on the need of support.

Community and Social Engagement

Participants join community outings and group activities that help build confidence, friendships, and independence. They practice communication, make choices, learn from new experiences, and enjoy time with peers in a supportive setting. Community engagement may include volunteering opportunities, social gatherings, and visits to local shops, parks, and community centers.
