Creating Employment & Community Integration

The Adult Development Program (ADP) is entirely community-based, using person-centered planning to develop employment and other life skills for the persons served. Our “Pathways to Employment” component includes a Job Readiness Clinic which helps our persons served find and keep employment and volunteer positions in the community. Persons served are supported by job coaches 100% of the time, both at work and during leisure activities. A 1:1 or 1:4 staff to persons served ratio ensures persons served have the required intensive support needed to reach their goals.

ADP job sites for persons served include restaurants, golf courses, retirement communities, retail establishments, pet hotels, grocery stores, gyms, and recreation facilities.  Persons served also volunteer at several local food banks, the Salvation Army, Meals on Wheels and Working Wardrobes, Job coaches also participate in classes with persons served at Saddleback College to further physical and educational enrichment. ADP's various clubs, including garden, bingo, dance, arts and crafts, basketball and sports, enhance person served exploration, growth and friendship.
