DAY TRAINING ACTIVITY CENTER ALAMBRE

Promoting Person Served Choice & Independence

Our Day Training Activity Center program at our Alambre location (“DTAC Alambre”) combines recreational activities with living skills and behavioral development for persons served with challenges such as Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other developmental disabilities. DTAC Alambre persons served desire and receive opportunities to be engaged and learn in each aspect of the program. Staff members, our Independence Facilitators, build persons served social skills through group activities and community interaction, and enhance independence by furthering persons served occupational abilities (toileting, hand washing, feeding, etc.). DTAC Alambre, like all Vocational Visions programs, ensures persons served have ample space for fun, fulfilling activities – arts and crafts, music classes, time for socializing and more. DTAC Alambre persons served need a high level of support, which the program provides on a 1:1 or 1:2 staff-to-persons served ratio. Program activities take place at both the Alambre facility and in the community, and all are centered on person served choice and promoting independence.
