Eat & Greet 2014

Bake-sale-with-guests

Vocational Visions’ fourth annual “Eat & Greet, Support Our Fleet” fundraiser was held on October 25, 2014. It was an amazing day of fun, laughter, karaoke and great food for over 150 guests enjoying an impressive on-site BBQ including chicken skewers, filet mignon sliders and homemade potato salad hosted by West Coast Prime Meats.

This year’s Chance Auction, with eighteen festive baskets, included five $100 gift certificates to Nick’s Restaurants. The Bake Sale was again a great success with a variety of homemade cakes and cookies. Vocational Visions’ information booth was well visited where guests could learn more about Vocational Visions and our support our fleet fundraiser, as well as purchase T-shirts, caps, bookmarks and pens.

One of the highlights of the day was the crowd enjoying karaoke performers in the clubhouse area. Participants had a great time singing; while surrounded by fantastic clubhouse Halloween decorations

The fundraiser raised more than $10,000 that will be used to help us reach our goal of purchasing five new Sprinter Vans. Each van is equipped with three wheelchair positions and provides the opportunity for employment transportation and more community outings for Vocational Visions’ participants.

We truly appreciate the continued support from our donors, guests, sponsors, volunteers and staff. You have all created possibilities for people with disabilities!
